Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program recognized by Sonography Canada.
  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario.
  • Maintain 25 continuing medical education credits per year through continuing education, as required by the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario.
  • Ability to perform general, obstetrical, small parts, and peripheral vascular ultrasound examinations.
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication.
  • Strong problem-solving and assessment abilities.
  • Proven teamwork, customer service focus, and individual leadership skills.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required.
  • Must be able to perform all necessary bona fide duties for the position and the duties outlined in the Job Demands Analysis.
  • Employees must adhere to applicable occupational health and safety duties, policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities
  • Perform general, obstetrical, small parts, and peripheral vascular ultrasound examinations.
  • Deliver safe, accurate, and patient-centered care in alignment with professional standards.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure exceptional care experiences.
  • Maintain continuing education requirements of 25 continuing medical education credits per year to support professional growth.
Desired Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of current experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
  • Professional liability insurance through Sonography Canada or the Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Sciences is strongly recommended.
