Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and 6 months of experience in Speech Pathology required.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities
  • Provides services to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and/or adult populations.
  • Provides direct speech-language services.
  • Provides consultation for patients, such as those with neurological disorders, voice disorders, and closed head/traumatic brain injuries.
  • Performs and interprets tests.
  • Provides diagnostic and therapy services that reflect evidence-based practice.
  • Provides counseling, education, and guidance to patients and their families regarding disorder(s). Adapts existing resources to meet patient and caregiver needs.
  • Maintains comprehensive electronic medical records (EMR) for each patient. Communicates through written reports, flowsheet documentation, and other EMR specific tools.Recommends changes in standard departmental practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
