As a Graduate Trading Operations Engineer, your work is essential to the operation of our firm. You will work on solutions that ensure the health and stability of our trading environment. You will collaborate across teams to understand how our systems interconnect and use this knowledge to make constant improvements that keep our firm competitive in the ever-evolving capital markets.

Your onboarding
You will participate in Optiver’s comprehensive Global Academy and be equipped with the knowledge needed to make an impact the moment you join your team. The comprehensive training covers trading theory and Optiver’s tech stack to hone your skills for your role. In addition, you will be paired with a dedicated mentor who will empower you to take ownership of your work and make a difference at the firm.
Your responsibilities
As a Graduate Trading Operations Engineer, you will work closely with traders, development teams and operations teams to deploy, monitor and configure a suite of proprietary trading applications. You will gain in-depth knowledge of our trading systems and demonstrate your expertise by supporting a high-frequency trading floor in a highly competitive industry.

Who you are:
- Student working toward a Computer Science or STEM degree between December 2024 and June 2025
- Have a strong interest in how hardware and software interact
- A pragmatic, logical thinker who can identify when workflows can be improved and find clean and simple ways to make them more efficient
- Able to work closely with developers, traders and business operations
- An exceptional communicator who challenges the status quo
