C.H. Robinson is looking for Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be leading quality control, improvement, and process implementation across operations in a Global Forwarding division. You will be accountable for driving continuous improvement to meet operational standards established by the Regional Operations program, along with branch- and region-specific initiatives. Your responsibilities include measuring performance, developing improvement plans for branches, ensuring consistency in structure and processes, and contributing to global, regional, and branch initiatives.
The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
Company representative for all matters of quality and standards with heavy focus on industry verticals (healthcare, pharma, automotive and similar)
Responsible for the design, implementation, revision and enforcement of corporate quality standards and methods.
Ensure quality methods and processes are in place and effective
Coordinate quality improvement initiatives and preventive measures
Design and implement use of statistical data to predict trends and improve overall product quality and system effectiveness
Design and implement use of root-cause analysis to properly identify needed process improvements and corrective actions
Update and lead in-process inspection methods and standards through review of existing practices and review of generally accepted industry and internal standards
Develop and implement disposition and rework standards
Lead the reduction of Cost of Quality and internal waste
Review and evaluate potential new business for feasibility
Lead internal and external Quality System audits in conjunction with global operations network
Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives
Assist branches with achieving ISO 9001:2015 and GDP certification, as assigned
Ensure branch level compliance with QMS standards (ISO 9001:2015; GDP) is maintained, as assigned
Support branch staff with GDP quality risk assessments, using Validaide
Conduct internal audits/self-inspections against QMS procedures, at branch level, as assigned
Document internal audit non-conformances and oversee investigation and resultant CAPA
Assist with QMS SOP coaching (post initial training)/provide support at branch level
Monitor Dashboards (Training Matrices, Approved Suppliers, etc) within the QMS platform, to ensure continuing compliance within agreed parameters
Audit operational employees to SOPs and checklists
Create and deploy intensive and structured plan to develop new hires
Represent progress, status, and suggested adjustments for internal process improvement measures
Ability to be a team project/task participant and/or key owner
Leverage Corporate Training opportunities in the branch and collaborate on branch level training tools and programs
Re-train operational team members based on audit findings, dashboard results and other regional or global metrics results
Interface between Operational Team, Corporate Operations, Corporate/Regional Training and Technology to drive process improvements and/or system enhancements
Create, monitor, and update project plans, deliverables, and executive summaries as applicable
Quality Implementation:
Support Implementation of new business and process
Drive adoption of systems enhancements as well as branch improvement plans
Ability to execute and explain most operational processes specific to Modal area of expertise as SME
Ensure Customer SOPs are configurable to standard SOPs leveraging optimal processes and technologies and does not conflict with company standards
Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience or equivalent knowledge
• Strong modal product knowledge
Preferred:
• Ability to collaborate and align across functional and geographical boundaries to achieve results
• Six Sigma or Lean certified
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
• Skilled in process analysis
• Data driven
• Can understand and communicate complex processes to a varied audience in a simple way
• Ability to influence without direct authority
