About the role
The Director, Mortgage Post Closing leads the Wire Desk, Delivery, Transaction Management, Investor Resolution, and Asset Disposition teams.
Tracking of daily production and reporting to oversee various orgs within the Post Closing organization
Leadership oversight of the Wire Desk, Insuring, Loan Delivery, Investor Credit Reviews, investor Suspense, Collateral, Transaction Management and other areas as needed by the business.
Create and maintain effective working relationships with Post Closing leaders across all of our investors.
Effective leader who will define performance based metrics to oversee various groups within Capital Markets and manage groups to establish metrics
Strong and independent leader that will partner with Capital Markets, Credit Policy, Operations, Treasury, Compliance, HR, Technology and Quality Control groups.
You will monitor and identify high risk loans for resolution and work with various stakeholders to optimize the best resolution available to us
Oversee the creation of robust reporting set for all areas of Post Closing as well as build an effective feedback loop to Investors and Internal Stakeholders (Capital Markets, Credit Policy, Servicing, Operations and Training leaders)
Support all due diligence efforts
Independently create staffing plans, compensation plans as well as develop leaders within the group.
This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $167,900.00 - $268,100.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.
Who you are
Seasoned Mortgage Banking Professional with 15+ years of progressive experience.
Minimum of 10 years in leadership roles within Post Closing.
Demonstrated track record of successfully building and leading high-performing teams in the mortgage industry.
Possess a detailed understanding of all origination loan documents; Closing and legal documents; Disclosure documents and related timing; credit documents; insurance documents; MDIA and APR rules; and TILA, RESPA, LE, CD
Expert experience with Agency and whole loan investor delivery requirements.
Highly detail-oriented, high level of energy, and a strong sense of urgency.
Advanced problem-solving and process improvement skills
Ability to identify and facilitate change in a deadline-driven, highly regulated environment.
Time management skills and the ability to organize, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of various loan origination requirements including Conventional, FHA and VA loans
Strong working knowledge of compliance requirements affecting the Post Closing team.
Strong pipeline management expertise with quality and timeliness standards
Independent problem solver who can take complex problems and produce solutions as well as management explanations
