Requirements
  • Proficiency in the English language is required.
  • The ability to follow written and oral instructions is required.
  • The candidate must be self motivated and possess the ability to work effectively in a team environment and with a diverse customer and coworker population.
  • A current Driver's License is required for the Driver portion of the position.
  • The driving record for the previous thirty-six (36) months must not reflect any major driving offenses (for example, DUI, conviction of a felony involving a motor vehicle, suspended license, three (3) or more speeding tickets or other moving violations) for the Driver portion.
  • State law minimum liability coverage limits are required for personal vehicles used for Logan Health business.
  • CPR may be required per assigned area(s).
Responsibilities
  • Prioritizes job functions to maintain proper workflow.
  • Identifies the need and performs duties without specific direction.
  • Exhibits working knowledge and correct usage of equipment and devices per assigned area(s); maintains equipment and resources appropriately and safely.
  • Exhibits working knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control as applicable to assigned area(s).
  • Follows confidentiality and safeguards for all patient and/or customer related information.
  • Responds to pages in a timely manner as applicable to assigned area(s).
  • Performs job duties efficiently and per department procedure, protocol and in accordance with State of Montana laws and regulations, for assigned area(s).
  • Stocks assigned carts for appropriate departments in a timely manner as applicable to assigned area(s).
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department leadership.
  • Other duties may be assigned similar to the above consistent with knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job.
  • Not all of the duties may be assigned to a position.
Desired Qualifications
  • Minimum of one (1) year related experience preferred.
  • Prior experience answering phones and responding to pages preferred.
  • Possess knowledge of the proper use of commercial equipment and devices preferred.

Logan Health Shelby receives Cardiac Recognition Award. Logan Health Shelby was recognized recently with the Cardiac Recognition Award, which is sponsored by the Cardiovascular Health Program within the state health department. The Recognition Award singles out critical access hospitals who demonstrate that they have the infrastructure and commitment to provide high quality care for patients with acute coronary syndrome, which includes heart attack. Receiving the Cardiac Recognition confirms Logan Health Shelby has met high standards related to the utilization of evidence-based cardiac order-sets and protocols, provides laboratory services 24/7, has a well thought out transfer protocol and has administrative commitment to treating heart attack patients. This is the 14th year that the Cardiac Recognition Award was presented, and Logan Health Shelby is one of 20 Critical Access Hospitals to qualify for the award. Requirements for the recognition include tracking and reporting key cardiac outcomes, using outcomes data to initiate quality improvement activities and coordinating regular healthcare provider cardiac trainings. Heart disease is a leading cause of death in both Montana and the United States. Last year, over 3,000 Montanans died from the impact of heart disease.
