Requirements
  • Fluent in both German and English, written and spoken
  • Previously held a Managing Director or equivalent leadership role in Germany within a start-up or scale-up business in Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Healthtech, Health Logistics, or Medical Cannabis
  • Built a Healthcare-related business from the ground up, including setting up operations, hiring the team, and launching services
  • Experience of full P&L ownership and responsibility in a regulated industry
  • Significant experience in operations, process optimisation, or operational excellence, ideally in regulated or high-growth sectors
  • Background in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, healthtech, logistics, or medical cannabis is highly advantageous
  • Demonstrated ability to design and scale complex cross-functional processes
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar frameworks (certification a plus, not essential)
  • Proven track record of leading change in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
  • Strong analytical and systems thinking, with experience using tools such as Lucidchart, Miro, Asana, Notion, or Jira
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
  • A bias for action with the ability to shift between high-level strategy and day-to-day operations
Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of the strategic plan to drive growth and sustainability
  • Take full ownership of the P&L for the German market
  • Develop, iterate, and execute the go-to-market strategy
  • Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities and service offerings
  • Balance long-term strategy with operational agility to manage risk and capitalise on growth
  • Align business objectives with evolving industry trends and regulatory changes
  • Design and implement SOPs across critical functions (e.g. patient onboarding, prescription fulfilment, clinical consultations, logistics)
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training of high-performing teams
  • Build and manage a clinical team, including future clinical leads across relevant specialties
  • Collaborate with Regulatory, Product, Commercial, and Partnerships teams to support integrated patient access, pricing, and reimbursement strategies
  • Contribute insights to technology and platform development
  • Support commercial decision-making on CBPM products
  • Work closely with the Partnerships team to build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
  • Serve as the final signatory for external communications (e.g. website content, press releases)
  • Support medical education programmes and internal training on the Code of Practice
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the medical cannabis landscape in Germany and globally
  • Define and track KPIs to measure performance (e.g. time-to-patient, conversion rates, fulfilment SLAs)
  • Act as the named lead for the safe and effective delivery of services
  • Represent the business in PR and marketing initiatives, as approved by leadership
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant medical and regulatory standards while maintaining adaptability
