Requirements
  • Must have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five years.
  • Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.
  • Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria.

  • The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.
  • Computer aided drafting experience in AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar.
  • General computer knowledge and skills, keyboarding proficiency and extensive use of Microsoft Windows.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
  • High School diploma with a minimum 4+ years practical CAD drafting experience or Associates degree in Engineering / Surveying or compatible, with 2+ yrs. practical survey experience or BS with 1+ yrs. Practical CAD drafting experience or BS/AS in Engineering Technology, Technical Drawing or similar.
  • Experience using Carlson Survey CAD software.
  • Experience using MicroStation CAD software.
  • Basic training and/or experience with computation of construction commodities.
  • Basic training and/or experience with drafting of as-builts survey sketches.
  • Basic training and/or experience with drafting of topographic maps.
  • Experience reading design construction plans and drawings.
  • A 40-hour workweek is scheduled. SRR construction utilizes a 10 hour per day - four days per week schedule.
  • A standard work week is Monday through Thursday 6:30am - 5:00pm. However, alternate schedules could be employed.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Personal vehicles operated by candidate must have valid registration.
  • Personal vehicles operated by candidate must be insured with proof of insurance within the vehicle.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required - You must be a United States Citizen
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)
  • All ProSidian staff must be determined eligible for a “Facility Access Authorization” by the USG’s designated Security Office.
  • May be required to complete a Financial Disclosure Statement
  • Must be able to submit to and qualify for varying levels of background investigative requirements, up to a Top Secret or DOE 'Q' clearance.
  • TRAVEL: Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, events, site visits, or other training requirements.
  • LOCATION: Work shall be conducted at or in proximity to Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina
Responsibilities
  • Use field survey data to create digital sketches using AutoCAD, in support of Savannah River Remediation Survey, Construction, Operations and Maintenance and Design Services.
  • Create drawings using Carlson Survey, AutoCAD or MicroStation, to produce excavation sketches, topographic maps, as-built surveys, etc., in support of construction survey activities.
  • Compute coordinates for layout of construction commodities, using design construction plans and drawings, for use by field survey crew.
  • Prepare as-built field maps for use in the updating and maintenance of current site maps.
  • Interface with applicable organizations to help complete and facilitate new or in-process survey activities.
