Requirements
  • A college diploma in Sales or Marketing, or an equivalent credential, is required; new graduates are welcome.
  • At least one year of experience in sales, outreach, staffing, and/or telemarketing is required.
  • Comfort with lead generation, cold calling, presentations, and research is required.
  • Ability to leverage a sales model to produce an optimal number of job leads is required.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and understanding the barriers they face is required.
  • A clear Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check is required.
Responsibilities
  • Proactively engage in daily prospecting and cold calling activities, using sales and job development techniques to generate qualified job leads.
  • Highlight the value of the organization’s programs and services to businesses, acquire new accounts, and establish ongoing employer relationships.
  • Match job seeker clients to suitable job openings and place clients into positions, including subsidized placements.
  • Maintain retention outcomes in accordance with established key performance indicators and provide ongoing assistance to address work-related issues.
  • Forge partnerships with community and culturally specific organizations to enhance outreach efforts.
  • Maintain confidential records using the customer relationship management tool to ensure accuracy and facilitate effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Conduct research and planning to generate job leads and align them with labor market and client needs.
  • Conduct outreach to sector-specific employers to provide job-search assistance and job matching for program participants and other programs as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • A valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle would be an asset, as local travel is required.
  • Ability to speak another language is an asset.

JVS Toronto delivers career services in Toronto and York Region to help job seekers reach their potential and support employers in building a skilled workforce. It provides services such as career exploration, job search help, recruitment, mentoring, coaching, retention support, and vocational assessments across nine locations, guided by a multidisciplinary team that works with students, youth, and adults, including newcomers, people with disabilities, at-risk youth, and mature workers. The organization combines services for job seekers with end-to-end recruitment and retention support for employers, using in-person assistance across multiple sites and mentors to guide individuals. The goal is to help job seekers succeed at work and to assist employers in securing the workers they need.
