Requirements
  • High School diploma (required).
  • Medical Revenue Cycle experience, 2 years minimum (required).
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish (preferred).
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
Responsibilities
  • Uphold and nurture an environment of direct, timely, and honest communication.
  • Reconcile all charges and data entered into the system assuring 100% data entry accuracy; assure correct provider, facility, place of service, medical service and coding are billed.
  • Submit claims to insurance companies on a daily basis.
  • Evaluate and ensure accuracy of patient balances.
  • Monitoring and pursuing delinquent accounts on a weekly basis.
  • Preparation and transmission of patient statements.
  • Process patient credit card payments as needed.
  • Posting patient payments.
  • Answer billing inquiries from patients, staff, and resolve complaints
  • Assist in managing accounts receivable aging to include appeal, trouble shoot, prepare denied claims for rebilling, inquire and correct unpaid claims for re-submission, on a daily basis.
  • Communication with providers, supervisors and staff regarding processes.
  • Provide weekly communication with management regarding work status.
  • Back up coverage for Medical Billing functions and colleagues as needed.
  • Attend department meetings or other related meetings as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish (preferred).
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills with advance knowledge Microsoft Excel a plus.
  • Knowledge of Organization’s mission, vision and goals and execution of policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates ability to proactive problem solving and imagination within the scope of responsibilities.
  • Demonstrates professional and respectful conduct.
  • Proven ability to develop strong professional business and customer/client relationships.
  • Ability to manage time and resources.
  • Knowledge and compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring patient confidentiality at all times.
