Requirements
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance.
  • Intermediate Proficiency Level qualifications under DoD 8140.03-M.
  • One of the following 8570 IAT-II certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate Security, Cybersecurity Analyst+, Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional, GIAC Security Essentials Certification, Security Systems Certified Practitioner, or Security+ CE.
  • Current Cisco Certified Network Professional certification.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 5 years of Department of Defense network engineering experience or 8 years of total network engineering experience.
  • Experience managing Cisco routers and switches.
  • Experience managing Cisco Firepower firewalls, Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure, Cisco Identity Services Engine, and Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Experience using Splunk, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution, and WhatsUp Gold.
  • Experience managing F5.
  • Experience supporting VMware NSX.
  • Significant experience using Microsoft Visio.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to carry 40 pounds for installations.
  • Ability to work occasional after-hours and weekend shifts to support scheduled and unscheduled service outages.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain, install, update, and secure network environments using Cisco IOS, routers, Layer 2 switches, access layer switches, Identity Services Engine, Firepower, and Application Centric Infrastructure.
  • Manage F5, Palo Alto, VMware NSX, Splunk, and ServiceNow network components.
  • Lead projects with minimal oversight and ensure network devices and applications are patched, secure, and operating efficiently.
  • Perform Defense Information Systems Agency Security Technical Implementation Guide validations.
  • Manage cable systems and develop workflows for Cisco-based assets.
  • Use Assured Compliance Assessment Solution to monitor security postures.
  • Collaborate with developers to identify and develop workflows within ServiceNow.
  • Configure and reconfigure network applications.
  • Maintain local-area and wide-area network environments.
  • Manage network security and process IT service requests and trouble tickets.
  • Create and maintain detailed network diagrams and standard operating procedures.
  • Manage the lifecycle of network devices.
  • Provide monthly status reports to the Contracting Officer's Representative-appointed Technical Assistant.
  • Support scheduled and unscheduled service outages through occasional after-hours and weekend work.
