Requirements
  • High-level customer service and interpersonal skills.

  • A college degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Sales and/or financial industry experience is required; mortgage loan training is provided.
  • Must be able to obtain a Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System number and meet all state and federal requirements.
  • Proficiency with computer skills and Microsoft Office software.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct mortgage application interviews for applicants generated through established contacts, direct requests, payoff requests, expired applications, marketing events, and outside referral sources.
  • Develop contacts in the real estate industry and other outside sources to produce additional mortgage loans by performing pre-approvals and providing borrower education.
  • Ensure all client contact, disclosures, and client involvement comply with applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Develop proficiency in lending guidelines for all investors and correspondent relationships with FORUM Mortgage and stay informed of changes in the mortgage industry.
  • Ensure a smooth and timely mortgage process and closing by pre-qualifying applicants, counseling customers on mortgage products and the process, submitting borrower files to underwriting for pre-approval, obtaining necessary documents and information, and keeping all involved parties updated on loan status.
