- Three to five or more years of acute-care, hospital-based registered nurse experience are required.
- A New York Registered Nurse license and registration are required.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree is required, or the candidate must be currently enrolled in a BSN program.
- Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program certifications are required.
- Proof of completion of Electronic Fetal Monitoring training is required.
- Assess, prioritize, continuously monitor, test, and manage the overall care of patients in labor to provide an exceptional birthing and bonding experience for patients and their families.
- Partner with an interdisciplinary team, including attending physicians, registered nurses, and ancillary staff, to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, coaching, emotional support, and education.
- One or more years of registered nurse experience in Labor and Delivery is strongly preferred.
- Candidates with one or more years of registered nurse experience in the Operating Room will be considered.
