Requirements
  • A master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or another related field is proposed.
  • Two years of experience working with behavioral health patients performing assessments and group process are required.
  • Knowledge of group dynamics is required.
  • The role requires competency in assessment, range of treatment, growth and development, and age-appropriate communication.
  • The position requires compliance with confidentiality, safety, reporting, attendance, and dress-code policies.
  • The position requires the physical ability to sit, stand, walk, write, type, hold charts, lift and carry up to 10 pounds, and perform occasional stooping and squatting.
  • The position requires hearing sufficient for normal in-person and telephone conversation and general, near, far, color, and peripheral vision.
Responsibilities
  • Facilitate recovery-focused psychoeducational individual and group sessions and other therapeutic interventions with assigned patients.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions in a group setting.
  • Modify therapeutic programming or individual interventions according to identified unit and patient needs, and collaborate with the Therapeutic Services Coordinator to implement or enhance programming.
  • Participate in daily rounds, communicate therapeutic programming needs, and collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical staff to formulate a holistic treatment approach.
  • Complete timely communication and documentation of patient-related information.
  • Plan, organize, direct, and participate in treatment programs and activities that facilitate patients’ recovery and integration into the community.
  • Work with case management to provide individual therapeutic support to patients and families and coordinate with social or community agencies.
  • Remain current on health-care trends, mental-health specialties, and recovery principles.
  • Maintain confidentiality of materials and ensure proper release of information.
  • Comply with Network and departmental policies regarding employee, patient, and environmental safety and follow reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrate the Network’s service-excellence standards in interactions with customers.
  • Demonstrate performance improvement in clinical care and outcomes, customer and service improvement, operational systems and processes, and safety.
  • Use resources effectively and efficiently and demonstrate financial responsibility and accountability.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
