Requirements
  • You’re 18 years of age or older.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Can lift 35 lbs and push/pull 50 lbs unassisted.
  • Are comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions for long periods.
  • Can ski or snowboard safely at a beginner level.
  • Have strong communication skills and a focus on safety and guest service.
  • Can stay attentive and focused on surroundings for extended periods without distraction.
  • Are committed to following safety procedures and addressing hazards immediately.

Responsibilities
  • Stay alert to hazards, follow all operating and emergency procedures, and make safe decisions in every situation.
  • Greet every rider with a friendly, approachable presence, offer clear loading and unloading instructions, and help guests feel confident and comfortable on the lift.
  • Act as a Brighton ambassador by answering questions about conditions, events, and terrain, and help guests get the most from their day.
  • Stay positive and composed in all weather and guest situations while making safety the top priority and delivering excellent service.
  • Operate lifts according to all procedures, adjust speeds when necessary for safety, and complete daily inspections and logs accurately.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to unusual situations, including assisting struggling guests and following emergency procedures.
  • Manage lines and load chairs to full capacity.
  • Keep loading and unloading areas safe and well-prepared through regular snow removal, ramp raking, and hazard checks.
  • Support teammates, share knowledge, and communicate effectively with ski patrol, lift maintenance, and other departments to keep the mountain running smoothly.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in outdoor, high-traffic, or safety-critical roles.
  • Hospitality, recreation, or guest service experience.
  • Ability to ski or snowboard safely at an intermediate level.
