Requirements
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience providing technical leadership on project-based physical security work, including design, integration, and implementation of enterprise security systems.
  • Deep working knowledge of physical security technologies across access control, video surveillance (VMS/cameras), intrusion detection, and integrated/converged security platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience leading site surveys, producing design documentation, and authoring detailed bills of materials for physical security deployments.
  • Proven track record coordinating with PMO functions and supply chain teams on multi-site or enterprise-scale physical security projects.
  • Experience providing technical oversight and guidance to engineers and field technicians, including escalation support during complex or time-sensitive implementations.
  • Familiarity with conversion bridge processes and the technical coordination required to manage system transitions with minimal client disruption.
  • Knowledge of access control platforms such as Lenel, Software House C-CURE, Genetec, AMAG, Honeywell Pro-Watch, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of video management systems such as Milestone, Avigilon, Genetec Security Center, Axis Camera Station, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of intrusion detection systems such as DSC, Bosch, Honeywell/Resideo, DMP, or equivalent panel and sensor ecosystems.
  • Knowledge of PoE infrastructure, VLANs, IP addressing, and physical security IT integration.
  • Ability to read and produce architectural drawings, security system design diagrams, and CAD/Visio documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining technical quality and delivery timelines.
  • Ability to translate technical complexity for field teams and client stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate with the Project Management Office on scheduling and planning as a technical peer.
  • Ability to operate effectively with minimal supervision on active projects.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary technical authority on physical security projects from kickoff through closeout, working alongside the Project Management Office to ensure delivery milestones are met with quality.
  • Lead and participate in site surveys to assess facility conditions, existing infrastructure, security requirements, and integration constraints.
  • Develop and review design diagrams, system architectures, and configuration documentation for access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and integrated security systems.
  • Own the accuracy and completeness of bills of materials, partnering with Supply Chain to validate part numbers, quantities, lead times, and substitution options prior to procurement.
  • Coordinate with clients on site readiness, implementation scheduling, access logistics, and technical prerequisites.
  • Provide real-time technical guidance to Physical Security Engineers and field technicians during system installations, integrations, and cutovers.
  • Oversee conversion bridge activities and provide escalation support during technical complexities or unexpected site conditions.
  • Monitor implementation progress against design specifications, identify deviations, and coordinate corrective action with the Project Management Office and field teams.
  • Lead post-implementation remediation efforts by documenting punch list items, prioritizing resolution, and tracking completion through client acceptance.
  • Partner with the Project Management Office on project scheduling, including field crew assignments, equipment delivery windows, client availability, and multi-site sequencing.
  • Anticipate technical dependencies and constraints that affect scheduling and communicate risks proactively to project stakeholders.
  • Manage workload across concurrent projects, balancing direct technical involvement with oversight responsibilities.
  • Provide escalation support during critical implementation bridges outside standard hours as needed.
  • Serve as the technical decision-maker during escalations by diagnosing issues, directing field resources, and communicating status to the Project Management Office and client contacts.
  • Document escalation outcomes and drive root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
  • Mentor and provide day-to-day technical direction to Physical Security Engineers.
  • Establish and enforce technical quality standards for design deliverables, bill-of-materials documentation, installation workmanship, and as-built records.
  • Review and approve technical deliverables before submission to clients or transition to field teams.
  • Stay current with physical security technologies, integration standards, and vendor platforms and apply that knowledge to delivery practices and team development.
Desired Qualifications
  • Industry certifications such as PSP (Physical Security Professional), NICET Physical Security, or equivalent.
  • Experience working at a technology integrator, VAR, or managed services provider delivering physical security solutions at enterprise scale.
  • Familiarity with government or regulated-industry physical security standards (FICAM, HSPD-12, ICD 705, NERC CIP, etc.).
  • Project management fundamentals — PMP, CAPM, or equivalent experience working within structured PMO frameworks.

Arganteal combines IT professional services with a SaaS automation platform to streamline deployments. Its services arm offers high-level consulting and IT staff augmentation, serving clients including the U.S. Air Force. Its SaaS platform, built around ASCOT and ADepT, is cloud-agnostic and lets IT teams discover existing scripts and build reusable automation workflows via a drag-and-drop interface, applying them across Google, AWS, Azure, VMware, and on-prem environments. The company’s patented technology (2015) and its mix of services and software differentiate it by turning legacy scripts into reusable automation assets to simplify deployment, reduce manual scripting, and lower technical debt.
