Responsibilities
  • Associate Relations (advise, mentor, and evaluate performance):
  • 1. Actively engage in the professional development of direct reports
  • 2. Mentor, recommend training, provide direction, and propose promotional opportunities
  • 3. Assign projects which allow for professional growth and learning
  • 4. Advise and teach Associates to overcome barriers and obstacles to perform job duties
  • 5. Assist engineers in writing technical reports for the customer explaining the analysis that was done, the issues that were identified and the root cause as well as the corrective action plans.
  • 6. Improve & develop communications between Associates and Management
  • 7. Interview and make hiring decisions on behalf of the company when position openings occur
  • 8. Evaluate performance & engage in corrective discipline of direct reports, including termination
  • 9. Promote teamwork and Kaizen practices
  • Engage in Quality Team activities and tasks:
  • 1. Continue to perform regular daily duties.
  • 2. Effectively plan and organize work assignments of direct report(s)
  • 3. Ensure maximum efficiency of processes & manpower
  • 4. Establish the most effective systems and procedures to standardize the work of the department
  • 5. Report all departmental activities & program/project status to the Quality Manager
  • 6. Execute special projects as assigned
  • 7. Advise on communications between internal & external Customers to ensure mutual satisfaction
  • 8. Ensure adherence to: a. Company policies & procedures b. Government regulations c. Customer specifications d. Documentation of program/project activities and deliverables
  • 9. Create and maintain written reports
  • 10. Prepare and conduct presentations to TRAM Group Management and Customers regarding quality performance and improvement opportunities.
  • 11. Lead and assist the Quality team in following established Corporate strategies & goals
  • 12. Facilitate and lead problem solving activities at Gemba. Maintain Genchi Genbutsu principles as core problem solving tool.
  • 13. Facilitate and lead meetings and teams.
  • Implement and manage departmental strategies and goals:
  • 1. Execute departmental strategy developed by Management and Executive staff
  • 2. Attend & facilitate meetings to exchange information for departmental enhancement
  • 3. Implement the policies and procedures of the department
  • 4. Make operating proposals in accordance with approved departmental budget
  • 5. Create monthly quality summary reports analyzing the quality performance of all TRAM Group locations.
  • Build and maintain Customer relations:
  • 1. Track Customers evaluations of TRAM’s performance
  • 2. Interact with customers concerning product quality issues
  • 3. Coordinate with plant Quality Departments to schedule for testing and analysis as well as setting specifications and priority level.
  • 4. Review corrective actions to ensure the problems have been resolved and follow up with customers concerning the results.
  • 5. Enhance and maintain effective communication between TRAM, Customers, and Suppliers
  • 6. Maintain current knowledge of: a. Company’s operations, manufacturing processes and pricing b. TRAM products c. Basic understanding of TRJ’s business methods
  • 7. Build trust with Customers
  • 8. Represent Tokai Rika to Customers in a professional manner
