Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience supporting large federal or Department of Defense programs is required.
  • An active Department of Defense Top Secret clearance is required.
  • The ability to successfully pass background and drug screening is required.
  • Experience leading and managing multiple projects simultaneously is required.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools is required.
  • Experience with Agile frameworks, including Scrum and Kanban, and Agile principles is required.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage multiple concurrent information technology initiatives supporting Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency research efforts, including engineering projects, cybersecurity initiatives, infrastructure modernization, and enterprise technology deployments.
  • Coordinate solution delivery across ITD and external organizations as required.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of ITD services, enterprise technologies, infrastructure capabilities, software lifecycle processes, and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Lead planning sessions, coordinate project delivery plans, obtain stakeholder sign-off, and enter relevant data into the project management tool.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including kick-off events, roadmaps, risk registries, and budgets, using Agile principles where appropriate.
  • Maintain Jira as the project management tool and ensure accurate, consistent project activity data.
  • Create and maintain detailed Jira project roadmaps covering sequencing, milestone delivery, and resource-allocation tracking.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and proactively communicate potential challenges to stakeholders.
  • Complete the Weekly Activity Report submission every week.
  • Track project progress against defined metrics and provide regular status updates to stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Define quarterly resource capacity and manage project resources so teams have the support needed to achieve their goals.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among project teams and stakeholders.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet acceptance criteria and quality standards, and obtain Section Chief approval for completed deliverables.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all organizational levels to understand business needs and priorities.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities effectively to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate alignment between teams and stakeholders toward common goals.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships to foster trust and collaboration.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and effectiveness across projects.
  • Stay current on industry best practices and emerging trends in project management and Agile.
  • Promote a collaborative and transparent team environment that encourages open communication and constructive feedback.
  • Identify and address team impediments and foster a problem-solving culture.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project management and Agile practices within the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional, Certified ScrumMaster, Professional Scrum Master, or Agile Certified Practitioner are preferred.

What is the Scope of the FBI Academy Contract? Chenega told ExecutiveBiz on Wednesday that the security services required under the contract include access control, visitor screening and visitor badge processing. The contract has a performance period of 5 years and is worth $6.4 million. Work begins May 2026. Commenting on the award, CNI President David Pine said, "The Chenega team is proud to have been awarded this contract once again and continue its partnership with the FBI's Training Division." "Supporting the FBI Academy is an important component of Chenega's law enforcement agency business line which includes projects with the United States Secret Service James J. Rowley Training Center, DHS Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers and the NASA Protective Services Training Academy," Pine added. What other security services contracts has CNI secured in 2026? The contract with the FBI Academy is CNI's latest security services award from U.S. government customers this year. In late March, the Chenega subsidiary announced having secured an $8.5 million contract to continue its role of supporting force protection operations at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Humphreys Engineer Center in Alexandria, Virginia. CNI had delivered similar services since 2023, and with the contract, the company would continue providing support through September 2030. And in early March, CNI secured a five-year, $78.6 million task order from the Department of Homeland Security via its FPS Acquisition Division multiple award contract for protective security officer services. The award called for the provision of access control, patrol support and other armed security guard services at IRS headquarters in Washington, D.C., and the IRS New Carrollton Center in Lanham, Maryland. Work on the contract is expected to start in June and run through May 2031.
