The Role:
The Health Outcomes Director will play a key role in shaping and leading our HEOR strategy. You will be responsible for deriving insights from large, diverse, and real-world health datasets to support Arine’s mission to improve patient outcomes and lower the costs of healthcare at scale. This role offers the unique opportunity to lead and grow our Health Outcomes team and work cross-functionally with an experienced team of data scientists, in-house clinicians, health economics and outcomes researchers, engineers, and digital health entrepreneurs to support population health analytics needs and provide actionable, data-driven insights.
What You’ll be Doing:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive HEOR strategy to demonstrate the value proposition of our clinical programs to payers and other healthcare stakeholders
- Design studies using your advanced understanding of pharmacy and medical claims data to evaluate impact of our programs on real-world clinical and economic outcomes (e.g. costs, utilization, medication adherence, etc.)
- Serve as primary owner and point of escalation for all health outcomes projects and deliverables, including research protocols, analysis plans, and study reports
- Support sales process by leading opportunity assessments to identify and highlight areas where Arine’s programs can make the greatest clinical and economic impact for potential customers, in close collaboration with the Data science team
- Translate results of complex health outcomes analyses into key deliverables (e.g., slide decks, reports, etc.) tailored to different healthcare audiences
- Collaborate with the Product team to influence product development and ensure cohesive strategy with regard to health outcomes research and clinical quality
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, present and disseminate research to different healthcare audiences (e.g., payers, providers, manufacturers, healthcare executives) and at conferences
Our Ideal Candidate Possesses:
- Advanced degree related to medical, health economics, health outcomes research, or epidemiology (PharmD, MD/DO, PhD) is required
- Minimum 7 years of experience in HEOR within managed care and/or pharmaceutical industry experience; startup experience is a plus
- Experience (or propensity for and interest in) recruiting, managing, and developing a team
- Strong quantitative analytical skills, business acumen and insight, with the ability to understand and synthesize data from various sources, work around data limitations, and form impactful judgments and insights
- Demonstrated ability to conduct health economic, health outcomes, pharmacoeconomic, health services research and/or related research; publication history a plus
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities and the ability to provide clear direction in a dynamic environment.
- Thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, and flexible to adapt to changing priorities and requirements
- Comfort and experience with presenting results of complex healthcare analyses to customers
- Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment, prioritize multiple projects, and problem solve under tight deadlines and resource constraints

The posted range represents the expected salary for this position and does not include any other potential components of the compensation package, benefits, and perks. Ultimately, the final pay decision will consider factors such as your experience, job level, location, and other relevant job-related criteria. The salary range for this position is: $180,000-200,000/year.
