  • bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • minimum of three years nonprofit experience preferably in prospect and/or market research or related role
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite
  • experience using the Salesforce NPSP constituent relationship management system
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to initiate and perform complex analyses and organize information to identify jurisdictional funding patterns and jurisdictional priorities
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex research findings to assess affinity, capacity and propensity to partner with the CDC Foundation
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and develop proactive prospecting methodologies to support organizational goals, including data mining

Responsibilities
  • Provides the Director of Business Development, CDC Foundation Advancement leadership and Internal Operations leadership with the tools/reports and information required to plan and execute CDC Foundation’s advancement programs, including research, prospect management, analysis of donor histories and reporting.
  • Proactively and independently plan and execute industry best practice strategies to identify jurisdictional partnership opportunities using research techniques and electronic searching methodologies to ensure that fundraising initiatives have sufficient prospects to meet fundraising goals.
  • Develops, updates and maintains jurisdictional prospect research information in the Salesforce CRM to monitor and report on prospects.
  • Works with Advancement and Internal Operations teams to identify top priority partners based on research and available funding.
  • Develops, updates and maintains RFP tracking mechanism with applicable forecasted, active and closed RFPs by jurisdiction.
  • Assists the data team with data quality and capture improvements and automations within our Salesforce CRM, especially for key prospect research data.
  • Acts as resident research expert and administrator for all research tools and subscriptions and offers training, guidance and troubleshooting support for Public Partnerships team, as needed.
  • Perform gift compliance activities that include, providing raw research of partners, providing monthly reporting and approvals for CDC project concept outlines, as well as attending weekly meetings.
  • Tracks and submits all partner reviews to the Advancement Operations team in our Salesforce CRM for tracking purposes.
  • Participate in staff activities, projects and assignments and assume other duties as assigned.
