The Manager, Quality Assurance - Infrastructure will set Quality initiatives and strategy for the Infrastructure teams at Drata. This is an exciting role that will lead a team of QA Engineers and Software Engineers in Test (SETS) responsible for ensuring quality and stability of all applications within the Infrastructure teams. The Infrastructure teams are working on business critical applications and services focused around performance, scalability and tooling.
We are looking for a leader who can shift quality left, build teams and deliver results. Drata is in the midst of hyper-growth and we need a leader who can mentor, coach and train team members to automate testing, build performance infrastructure and embody the culture of quality at Drata.
The successful Manager will be obsessed with quality, highly technical, and have a love of building and creating world class software. Drata is still in early stages of growth and we want technical leaders who are not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get into the weeds with their teams as we build the next generation of services to scale the company.
Required to be on CST or EST time zones.
What you’ll do:
- Lead, manage and grow teams of QA Engineers and Software Engineers in Test through all phases of the SDLC
- Ship Software Daily
- Report on engineering activities as it relates to team velocity and the company’s OKRs
- Maintain and communicate QA metrics to internal and company stakeholders via status/metrics reports
- Deliver team results to the business and find opportunities to improve processes
What you’ll bring:
- 5+ years in a quality assurance or software engineering lead/management role
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Advanced knowledge of at least one programming language (ie Typescript, Python, Go)
- An infectious passion for Quality with a proven track record on previous teams
- Experience with React, Javascript, TypeScript, NodeJS, OOP, TypeORM, MySQL, Git, and AWS (Terraform is a plus).
- Deep technical knowledge of networking
- Experience in Performance Testing
- Experience in Chaos Engineering
- Experience working closely with SRE and Cloud Engineering teams
- Working experience with Observability

This role will receive a competitive base salary, benefits, and equity. The applicable salary range for each US-based role is based on where the employee works and is aligned to one of 3 tiers based on the cost of labor for that geographic area. The expected salary ranges for this role are set forth below.
Tier 1: $153,000 - $189,000
Tier 2: $137,700 - $170,100
Tier 3: $122,400 - $151,200
