Requirements
  • Strong technical skills and understanding of systems and hotel operations.
  • A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a revenue or reservations function.
  • Ownership, problem-solving, and effective decision-making skills.
  • A methodical, process-driven approach to tasks, with flexibility and calmness during tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
  • Incorporate the revenue management philosophy of exceeding fair share across mind share, market share, and channel share into revenue management, sales, marketing, and operations.
  • Chair the weekly revenue meeting for assigned properties and collaborate on revenue management, sales, and marketing strategy with hotel and support teams.
  • Support additional hotels in the assigned region with revenue, sales, and marketing processes, systems management, pricing, strategy, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and sales, brand, and digital teams on high-level strategy decisions across market segments and distribution channels.
  • Ensure current systems and processes meet group requirements and are adjusted appropriately to support the business.
  • Conduct weekly, monthly, and ad hoc data analysis and reporting.
  • Identify and report actions taken regarding trends such as pace, group pace, booking window, and booking channel.
  • Achieve room revenue goals, including budget and RevPAR Index, with a focus on profitability.
  • Prepare the annual hotel revenue budget and maintain ongoing results analysis.
  • Prepare monthly forecasts with daily occupancy and rate breakdowns and market segment mix, along with ongoing results analysis.
  • Monitor competitors’ products and revenue management practices, new hotel development, and local market demand generators.
  • Maintain relationships with third-party partners, including online travel agency market managers.
  • Oversee channel management, including rate loading and inventory management.
  • Maintain continued usage and maintenance of the revenue management system.
  • Validate forecasts and interact daily with the revenue management system, including decisions produced and related configuration and maintenance tasks.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Opera Cloud or V5, IDeaS G3 RMS, and TravelClick CRS.
  • Experience in hotel openings and/or the Edinburgh market.
