Requirements
  • A minimum of 10+ years of executive administrative and/or program management experience supporting C-suite-level executives in global software or technology organizations.
  • Proven expertise in managing global travel logistics for executives.
  • Experience working with vice presidents or senior vice presidents overseeing large teams of more than 2,000 employees in technical roles such as engineering or customer-facing functions.
  • Familiarity with high-growth and hyper-scaling companies.
  • Proficiency with Google Calendar and Gmail for calendaring, organization, and presentation creation and editing.
  • Proficiency using artificial intelligence to support travel planning and other administrative tasks.
  • Ability to synthesize business and customer data into actionable insights for strategic planning.
  • Ability to prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure the chief operating officer is fully prepared for meetings with an accurate, forward-looking calendar.
  • Navigate shifting priorities and high-pressure environments while maintaining a calm and professional presence.
  • Use artificial intelligence tools to synthesize data, automate routine administration, and accelerate decision-making cycles.
  • Proactively manage and prioritize the chief operating officer’s schedule to optimize productivity.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely responses and seamless communication.
  • Streamline workflows to enhance the chief operating officer’s efficiency and enable a more productive team and company.
  • Execute strategic initiatives and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Curate customer engagement plans for business travel.
  • Organize team meetings, customer engagements, and internal business-partner discussions across international time zones.
  • Build and maintain records of meeting requests while adhering to strict service-level agreements for responses.
  • Ensure meetings have detailed agendas and artificial-intelligence-generated pre-reads and summaries.
  • Manage complex domestic and international travel arrangements for the chief operating officer, who travels at least one week per month.
  • Use artificial intelligence tools to research travel efficiencies, automate expense management, and perform sentiment analysis on account data before customer meetings.
  • Partner with account teams to identify high-value customer meetings and review account data and spend to ensure travel produces maximum return on investment.
  • Handle end-to-end travel logistics and maintain detailed itineraries.
  • Serve as a liaison between the chief operating officer and senior leadership, driving accountability on long-term projects despite shifting priorities.
  • Track concurrent workstreams across engineering and go-to-market functions and ensure continuity of communication.
  • Plan offsite meetings, events, and programs for the chief operating officer and the team.
  • Provide coverage for other executive staff members during absences.
  • Assist in preparing expense reports promptly.

Databricks hires ex-AWS executive to lead Asia partners amid 85% growth

Databricks has appointed former Amazon Web Services executive Briscoe to lead its Asia Pacific & Japan partner organisation. She previously headed AWS's partner operations in the region and held similar roles at Microsoft and Cisco. The move supports Databricks' regional expansion. In April, the company named Simon Davies as regional leader and reported over 85% year-on-year growth in its fourth quarter. It now has more than 1,500 employees across Asia Pacific & Japan and plans to establish headquarters in Singapore. Databricks works with over 1,000 partners regionally and 8,000 globally through its Brickbuilder Partner Network. The company's AWS business has surpassed a $1 billion run rate. Coatue Management is reportedly leading a $3 billion investment in Databricks, according to recent reports. The data analytics company previously raised roughly $5 billion earlier in 2026 at a $134 billion valuation. Databricks sells a lakehouse platform combining data lake and data warehouse capabilities and has expanded into AI software for enterprise applications. The company reported $5.4 billion in revenue run rate in February, up over 65% year on year, which grew to $6.9 billion by June. The earlier financing round included $2 billion in debt capacity intended to fund AI products, acquisitions and employee liquidity. At its current valuation, Databricks exceeds Snowflake's market capitalisation of approximately $83 billion. Management has indicated the company may remain private until market conditions improve.
