Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering
  • Four or more years of related work experience
  • Experience using 3D CAD, preferably SolidWorks
  • Working knowledge of motion control systems, structural and vibration analyses
  • Working knowledge of ASME drafting standards including GD&T(Y14.5-2009)
  • Able to work with customers and contract manufacturers
  • High level of technical writing proficiency
  • Ability to handle some minimal electrical design
Responsibilities
  • Design practical solutions to meet constraints and requirements
  • Design and execute tests to find the best approach
  • Develop production and support documentation
  • Hands-on prototyping and iterating ideas
  • Travel to suppliers and customers as necessary
  • Work with suppliers, machinists, contract manufacturers, and shippers
  • Perform test and verification of prototype systems
  • Perform system design analyses
