Requirements
  • Be a qualified solicitor in England and Wales with at least 5 years of post-qualified experience in corporate tax and proven transactional experience.
  • Have demonstrable expertise in IR35 and employment tax.
  • Have experience in Stamp Duty Land Tax, particularly in leasing matters.
  • Have excellent technical ability, commercial awareness, and communication skills.
  • Be confident working autonomously with clients while contributing positively to team culture.
Responsibilities
  • Advise on corporate tax matters, including initial business structuring, mergers and acquisitions transactions, restructurings, joint ventures, Enterprise Investment Scheme and Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme matters, Enterprise Management Incentive option schemes, and investment structures.
  • Advise on trust structures and prepare documentation.
  • Provide expert guidance on IR35 and employment tax issues, including off-payroll working rules, contractor assessments, and workforce structuring.
  • Advise on Stamp Duty Land Tax matters relating to corporate and leasing transactions.
  • Advise on international expansion, including transfer pricing and permanent establishment considerations.
  • Advise on value-added tax liability and compliance.
  • Manage HM Revenue and Customs objections and appeals.
  • Manage client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
  • Support and mentor junior team members.
  • Contribute to business development through webinars and content.
