Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education- or American Osteopathic Association-accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency.
  • Completion of an accredited Neuroradiology fellowship.
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology with subspecialty training in Neuroradiology.
  • Current, unrestricted Florida medical license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Drug Enforcement Administration registration or eligibility, if required by practice.
Responsibilities
  • Interpret a full range of neuroradiology studies, including magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, computed tomography angiography, magnetic resonance angiography, and other advanced neuroimaging of the brain, spine, head, and neck.
  • Provide diagnostic interpretations for inpatient, emergency department, and outpatient imaging studies.
  • Collaborate with neurologists, neurosurgeons, emergency physicians, and other referring providers to support timely and accurate clinical decision-making.
  • Participate in call coverage for neuroradiology services as assigned.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and complete reporting in the radiology information system and electronic health record.
  • Maintain compliance with departmental protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in quality assurance, peer review, and performance improvement activities.
  • Stay current with advances in neuroradiology through continuing medical education and professional development.
