Helio Health provides a full spectrum of addiction and mental health care, including withdrawal and stabilization, inpatient rehab, outpatient counseling, gambling treatment, youth services, peer support, and family interventions. Care starts with assessment and stabilization and continues with placement into appropriate services—such as inpatient treatment, outpatient counseling, or community residences—along with housing support, family education, and ongoing peer engagement to support long-term recovery. The approach combines clinical treatment with family-centered services and intervention options, all under one umbrella, to address both addiction and mental health needs. The goal is to promote recovery from substance use and mental health disorders for individuals and families.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • CCBHC expansion in Utica can strengthen referrals and reimbursement visibility.
  • More wraparound housing and family programs can improve retention and recovery outcomes.
  • A 24/7 access model supports same-day triage and post-discharge follow-up.

What critics are saying

  • Medicaid rate cuts or tighter CCBHC rules would immediately squeeze margins.
  • Clinician shortages would reduce census and delay intake across multiple sites.
  • Compliance or billing audits could disrupt operations and damage funding.

What makes Helio Health unique

  • Helio Health offers integrated substance use, mental health, and medical care across New York.
  • Its CCBHC footprint includes Syracuse, Rochester, Binghamton, and Utica sites.
  • It combines detox, outpatient treatment, housing, and recovery support services.
