Requirements
  • BA/BS or master's degree in accounting, finance or business required and/or experience in either management consulting/advisory firms-with a focus on finance transformation and shared services
  • Minimum of 10 years of Billing and Accounts Receivable experience
  • Extensive experience with Netsuite billing functionality, with the ability to build out and design the system with respect to ongoing invoicing requirements
  • Keen understanding of order to cash processes, including billing, credit, collections and accounts receivable transactions and processes including how they are performed, upstream and downstream considerations, and leading practices in these areas to identify and drive process improvements
  • Proven project management skills
  • Ability to think strategically and connect the end-to-end process to the strategy of the business
  • Ability to lead change and improve the end-to-end processes with a strong, proven track record in business process re-engineering and systems analysis
  • Demonstrated experience with data analysis, problem solving and solutions development
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, including Sarbanes Oxley compliance
  • Experience working cross-functionally with IT teams on enhancements, implementations, and conversions
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with customers, partners and stakeholders across functions and geographies
  • Excellent oral and written communication, with proven skills in advising internal business clients and external members
  • Versatile, dynamic candidate who demonstrates initiative, is results oriented, and flexible
  • Strong leadership capabilities evidenced by the ability gain the trust of, negotiate with, influence and empower a diverse group of partners of varying levels
  • Ability to inspire and empower team members to perform at optimal levels
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, NetSuite, Zendesk preferable
Responsibilities
  • Drive the strategic plan and continuous improvement efforts for credit and collections, encompassing process, tools, and data by:
  • Collaborating across geographies and business units to harmonize process requirements, taking local and statutory requirements into consideration, where required
  • Collaborating with technology resources to consider platforms/tools and system enhancements; recommending solutions to improve integration and streamline processes to support collections effectiveness and improved customer experience while taking local and statutory requirements into consideration
  • Providing recommendations on organizational structure to facilitate better integration and standardization of processes
  • Enhance reporting in support of monitoring compliance with global and local statutory policies across credit and collections processes
  • Align key partners (customers, business unit leaders, management etc.) on the direction of the global process
  • Assess team skills and hire replacements where necessary
  • Design and execute testing strategies and plans for ongoing process and technology change initiatives
  • Provide strong leadership and oversight over processes and team members in a changing environment
  • Build strong, collaborative working relationships with outsourcers and external business partners, with a focus on driving efficiencies and improving levels of service
  • Measure and report on key performance metrics, highlighting issues / areas for improvement and developing required action plans with a focus on improvement of order to cash cycle time (DSO)
  • Monitor and report on transactions and processes to ensure effective accounts receivable risk management and compliance with company policies
  • Monitor process controls and oversee and testing in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley; Maintain and document relevant policies and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Help drive stakeholder engagement, organizational change management and communication efforts with impacted business areas for critical transformation initiatives
