Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution
  • Board Certified in Family Medicine (or board eligible)
  • Eligible for Washington State medical license and hospital privileges within four months of hire
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching and precepting medical residents
  • Commitment to cultural humility and working effectively in a Native community
  • Current ACLS and/or PALS and/or ALSO certifications
Responsibilities
  • Provide full-spectrum family medicine care — including obstetric, psychiatric, surgical, and emergency services — as credentialed
  • Serve as core faculty for the Family Medicine Residency Program, dedicating approximately 60% of your time to resident education, precepting, curriculum development, and scholarly activities
  • Mentor and evaluate residents and medical students, fostering their growth in both clinical and professional skills
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review, and organizational committees
  • Collaborate with specialists and coordinate referrals to ensure continuity of care
  • Engage in community-focused health education and promote culturally responsive care
