What you will get to do:
- Lead maintenance personnel and facilitate the resolution of issues that impact safety and downtime
- Specify, develop, support the procurement of, and implement internal tooling, fixtures, and equipment
- The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for maintaining internal tooling, fixtures, equipment, and floor layout
- Proficiency in CAD software for product design, manufacturing, and process optimization
- Determine and implement a schedule for equipment and tooling preventative maintenance
- Gather and analyze data to create flex capacity plans in coordination with supervisors to help determine staffing needs
- Develop process routing and work instructions for new products or processes in coordination with plant leadership
- Train operators on new products and processes or major changes to existing products or processes
- Maintain required documentation according to company’s document control procedures
- Conduct training for appropriate associates and ensure all documentation for lock out and tag out meets applicable standards.
- Work with cross functional teams to ensure cost reduction and product launch initiatives are effectively executed.
What will make you successful:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Product Development / Launch experience (e.g., DFA/DFM, PFMEA, capacity planning)
- Experience with tooling, fixture, and equipment design for assembly
- Professional team player with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Takes initiative and is willing to take calculated risks to achieve goals
