  • Deep expertise in data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery is required.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala are required.
  • Proven experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, dbt, or AWS Glue is required.
  • Hands-on ownership of cloud platforms at scale, including AWS, Azure, or GCP, plus familiarity with on-premises or private deployment models, is required.
  • Proficiency with big data frameworks such as Spark or Flink and streaming tools such as Kafka or Kinesis is required.
  • Expert-level SQL and NoSQL database skills are required.
  • Experience setting data validation, governance, and observability standards, including tools such as Great Expectations, Prometheus, or Grafana, is required.

Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end architecture for ACDP, including data warehouses, tenant data stores, lakes, and feature stores supporting analytics, machine learning, and AI agent use cases.
  • Design and build the tenant registry and tenant data warehouse layer that underpins multi-tenant AI agent workloads.
  • Build and govern the Data Agent layer that supplies on-premises or customer-controlled data to cloud large-language-model reasoning in the Hybrid AI zone, with staged, explainable data outputs and human review checkpoints.
  • Define data classification and routing rules determining which data can flow to Cloud AI, which requires the Hybrid AI path, and which must remain fully on-premises and deterministic.
  • Set engineering standards for extract, transform, load and extract, load, transform design, orchestration, and data quality across the team.
  • Lead design and code reviews, mentor data engineers, and act as the technical escalation point.
  • Drive pipeline automation and reliability, including service-level agreements, observability, and incident response.
  • Own platform-level data security, access control, lineage, and governance compliance across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises tiers.
  • Partner with data scientists and analysts to ensure platform data is machine-learning-ready and supports predictive modeling.
  • Build and maintain data and event pipelines connecting enterprise resource planning source systems, such as EnCore, to the EnCore Agent Hub, supporting secure read/write and event-and-trigger flows.
  • Guide generative AI and large language model data enablement, including embeddings, vector database design, and retrieval-augmented generation pipeline architecture, in support of Amtech AI Cloud agent orchestration.
  • Represent data engineering in cross-functional architecture review board and platform roadmap discussions.
  • Optimize pipelines for low-latency access and establish partitioning, caching, and indexing strategies as team standards.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience designing multi-tenant data architectures, including tenant registries and tenant-scoped data stores or warehouses.
  • Understanding of data sensitivity and risk classification and hybrid cloud/on-premises routing for AI workloads.
  • Advanced training in Data Engineering, Cloud Architecture, or Industrial Data Systems.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning, manufacturing execution system, or manufacturing data environments.
  • Familiarity with Internet of Things and operational technology data pipelines, including machine telemetry and supervisory control and data acquisition signals.
  • Applied production experience with generative AI tools such as LangChain, vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation pipelines.
  • Exposure to agent orchestration platforms, model context protocol-style tool routing, or event-driven agent architectures.
  • Experience building or governing hybrid AI architectures that balance cloud acceleration with on-premises or private control layers.
  • Familiarity with time-series or graph databases.

Amtech Software provides an end-to-end platform that connects estimating, planning, and plant-floor execution for corrugated, folding carton, flexible packaging, and label manufacturers. The system unifies estimation, scheduling, and on-floor work in a single workflow, using AI-augmented tools and cloud-ready infrastructure to turn shop-floor data into better plans and outcomes. It differentiates itself by being built specifically for packaging converters with decades of vertical expertise, combining AI features and cloud data handling in one platform rather than generic manufacturing software. Its goal is to make plant data predictable and profitable by aligning quotes, plans, and production on one connected system.

Amtech launches suite to help corrugated manufacturers manage hand assembly and contract packaging

Amtech Software has launched a new suite to help corrugated manufacturers manage hand assembly and fulfillment operations. The solution addresses rising margin pressure from containerboard costs by enabling manufacturers to offer higher-margin services like contract packaging and assembled products. The suite includes two capability levels: EnCore Assembled Products for kits and displays, and EnCore Contract Packaging for complex operations including component tracking and customer-supplied materials. It also features hand assembly scheduling in Amtech's Advanced Planning Board, allowing teams to manage converting and assembly work together. The platform replaces siloed spreadsheets and point solutions, providing unified management of product structures, inventory and scheduling. Amtech, founded over 40 years ago, serves over 1,250 plants worldwide with ERP and manufacturing software for the packaging industry.
