Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with MBA will be an added advantage.
  • Must have 15 years of experience in Sales & Marketing across Life Sciences/ Healthcare/ Specialty segment and with at least 5 years in leadership positions.
  • Experience in Oncology is preferred.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, initiative, creativity, and proven track-record for innovation.
  • Experience/strong knowledge in Channel management (Distributors), Corporate hospital sales & large institution sales.
  • Experience managing Third Party vendors-accountable for onboarding, oversight, auditing and training of all compliance requirements.
  • Experience in a leadership role within a multi-functional commercial organization is required.
  • Strong, team-oriented leader with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence, lead, negotiate and work effectively at all levels within a matrix and multi-cultural environment aiming towards strategic alignment for commercial success.
  • Track record and strong knowledge of successfully defining market issues and opportunities and developing successful marketing campaigns.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, initiative, creativity with experience in product positioning and messaging.
  • Ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analyses of complex strategic initiatives, including a demonstrated understanding of the tools and methodologies needed to develop assumptions for business case, market and competitive analysis, regulatory reviews, customer needs and primary/secondary research sources to support hypotheses.
  • Experience managing marketing teams including hiring, managing performance, and developing skill sets of direct reports.
  • Enthusiasm, confidence, ability to work on multiple tasks, problem solving ability, creativity, and ability to prioritize effectively to meet personal, team and company goals.
Responsibilities
  • Drive the growth of Takeda’s Oncology portfolio, increase market share and establish a strong presence across the LOC.
  • Ensure that Takeda’s Oncology products and solutions meet the specific needs of patients enhancing patient outcomes and quality of life.
  • Lead the business unit to achieve financial objectives, including revenue growth, profitability, and long-term sustainability.
  • Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging new ideas and approaches to address unmet medical needs in gastroenterology.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders such as healthcare professionals, regulatory bodies, and industry partners, ensuring alignment with regional healthcare environments.
  • Ensure efficient and compliant operations of the GI business unit, adhering to regulatory standards and Takeda’s corporate policies.
  • Inspire, develop, and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and shared goals.
  • Delivering marketing, local market access and sales plans, which optimize the brand in the portfolio.
  • Achieve the sales, profit and market share targets for franchise, in terms of both annual budget and shorter-term phasing.
  • Lead long range forecasting to support life cycle management and strategic portfolio planning.
  • Coach, Mentor the team aligning with Takeda values to achieve company goals.
  • Monitors KPIs (sales, MS, prices, timelines, milestones, customer experience, customer engagement etc.) on regular basis.
  • Together with the Field Excellence manager and the Business operations team sets Sales Force Effectiveness standards and KPIs, establishes and tracks metrics to factor the outside perspective in (e.g., customer experience) and monitors achievement on regular basis.
  • Monitors competitor activities (Market Intelligence and Benchmarking) on regular basis and ensures learnings are acted upon.
  • To create clear business unit strategies that are fulfilled through the tactical implementation.
  • Leads & collaborates with CFT to develop strategies, maximizing access & Patient value thus improving standards of care.
  • To work with regional teams to ensure localization of regional strategies and to tap into knowledge and information that is held by others.
  • Undertake Franchise Planning ensuring all critical factors are considered and that both strategic and tactical plans are reviewed by senior management prior to approval.
  • To ensure launch excellence for new molecules as and when available, indications and line extensions to ensure the Takeda achieves its goals.
  • To develop strong links to organization to ensure alignment and develop an understanding of market challenges and progress.
  • Transforms and communicates strategies into implementable tactics and ensures smooth execution through own core team and cross-functional team members.
  • Executing strategies to monitor Channel sales (pricing, Primary & secondary sales).
  • Developing clear strategies & objectives for Alternate channels (eg: Online) sales.
  • Lead, develop and maintain appropriate customer networks/ engagement on behalf of the company.
  • Have clear objectives, segmentation & prioritize OOP (Hospitals & Trade), Govt (SR & ER), through execution excellence across the portfolio.
  • In Government accounts, closely work with access, tender & Govt Institution teams to achieve team goals.
  • Ensure competitor intelligence processes are developed and maintained.
  • Ensure strategies are implemented to optimize the product's local access to market.
  • Incorporate digital e.g. omni channel engagement as needed to amplify F2F activities with customers.
  • Actively develop the motivation of the sales force through high-quality communication and flawless delivery of materials for each sales cycle.
  • Builds OCE and NGCE competence in BAM, closely collaborating with NGCE Field Excellence manager; defines expectations, recognizes achievements, and provides feedback and coaching to enable high performance and further development.
  • Present on a regular basis to the marketing team to ensure vision for brand is understood.
  • Develop strong cohesive relationships with marketing managers, sales force managers, Cross functional teams via regular contact ensuring profound understanding of market.
