As the Marketing Specialist, Commercial Risk, you are responsible for the effective of marketing of insurance risks to our existing clients.
In this role, you will:
Assist the marketing team in gathering information to submit to the market
Assist in following up on various carrier requests
Track results from marketing activities and carrier responses in an organized and real time fashion
Assist in the analysis of line of business and insurance company production trends, and make recommendations to correct deficiencies
Assist producers with pre-underwriting information gathering, submission, coverage analysis, RFP’s and proposal presentations if needed
Execute a quality control process for policies and quotations delivered assuring coverage, condition, rating, and pricing accuracy
Work collaboratively with Account Management, Customer Service, Claims, and Risk Services to ensure we are bringing the full value of HUB to both the marketplace and our customers.
Effectively build relationships with insurance company underwriters through a pattern of professional risk submissions, company visitations, and hard, but fair, negotiations
Understand and monitor the volumes and results of our relationships with our key trading partners.Learn internal systems to track carrier production.
Maintain a basic understanding of market underwriting appetite, line of business trends, and insurance company changes.
Demonstrate an understanding of our company’s value-added services.
Accurately maintain new business and renewal information
What you offer us:
1-2 years of marketing or underwriting experience
College or University Degree preferred
Current Property & Casualty License
Intermediate to Advanced Level of Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
Knowledge of commercial lines coverages and markets
High energy, detail-oriented self-starter
Strong leadership and team-building skills
Significant skill in handling competing demands and projects
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize
Strong negotiation skills
Influence management as well as build relationships with colleagues and clients
Good interpersonal, organizational, skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
