- Hold an active Customs and Border Protection BI or Top Secret clearance.
- Be a U.S. citizen for the purpose of obtaining or holding a U.S. security clearance.
- Have 10 or more years of experience with Customs and Border Protection.
- Have a degree in electronics, telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent military or law enforcement training.
- Have experience with various border security technologies and knowledge of best practices related to their deployment.
- Understand geographical and environmental conditions and challenges related to deployment areas and techniques for adapting to those conditions.
- Know relevant laws and regulations governing border technology use and adhere to safety protocols.
- Be willing to travel.
- Lift, carry, and move heavy equipment and tools; push, pull, and secure loads on trailers and vehicles; and stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
- Safely climb into and out of trucks, trailers, and equipment.
- Work safely in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
- Have sufficient stamina to perform physically demanding tasks.
- Transport a government heavy vehicle and equipment from Tucson, Arizona, to areas across the Southwest and southern border areas.
- Load, transport, and stage Government-Furnished Property, including a government-furnished medium-duty commercial truck, an 18-foot double-axle trailer, and government equipment with a gross combined weight rating greater than 37,500 pounds, in accordance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with deployment, operation, relocation, and recovery of government equipment components during field adjudication operations.
- Plan and execute logistics, preparation, and post-mission reset of equipment kits for field employment.
- Operate, maneuver, and support deployment of the drill rig loaded on the heavy equipment trailer, including driving, site employment, redeployment, and recovery, in accordance with manufacturer specifications and government safety protocols.
- Develop, document, and maintain procedures for maintenance, sustainment, preparation, deployment, redeployment, and storage of equipment loaded on the heavy equipment trailer.
- Develop training courses for personnel on the Mini-Drill, skid steer rig and mast, and air compressor using on-the-job training insights and manufacturer-recommended practices.
- Develop and deliver a hybrid training program and course curriculum for operators using training materials and instruction provided by equipment vendors.
- Prepare and maintain a comprehensive Training Plan covering related heavy equipment and systems, including detailed online and in-person syllabi.
- Coordinate with the Government program to align support services with program priorities, operational schedules, independent verification and validation, and systems engineering processes.
- Submit weekly progress reports summarizing activities, accomplishments, upcoming work, issues, and risks related to equipment transport, operation, and training.
- Submit daily travel reports documenting travel, daily field activities, work accomplished, and planned next-day deliverables in support of operations.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
