Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting, Human Resources or a related field
  • Two to four years of experience in HR and/or payroll and benefits administration
  • Familiar with ADP products is a nice to have
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Office 365, is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels of an organization, with the ability to build confidence and trust
  • Solid knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws
Responsibilities
  • Process Canadian payroll and reconcile global payroll in ADP/local systems entering retro benefit deductions, garnishment payments and other payroll deductions, confirming payroll cycle, and pulling payroll reports
  • Work with local HR contacts to identify and resolve issues, process expenses, bonuses, other incentive pay processing, and other payroll uploads; and ensure the accurate balancing of payroll processing
  • Serve as backup to US payroll processor
  • Assist with the annual open enrollment process and other benefit initiatives including enrolling new employees in benefits plans, answering inquiries on plan provisions, status changes and other general questions
  • Create necessary allocation/billing reports and process US and Canadian benefits invoices
  • Collaborate with the HR department to maintain confidential employee data and assist with employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, employee relations and offboarding
  • Respond to Canadian Retirement plan inquiries about enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts
