Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience within a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
Responsibilities
  • Leads, directs, and manages the day-to-day activities of multiple operational areas to achieve the short and medium-term production objectives.
  • Plans, manages, and reviews plant operations to achieve output and quality objectives; undertaking operational activities to transform tangible inputs (e.g., raw materials or semi-finished goods) or intangible inputs (e.g., ideas, information, know how) into finished products or services.
  • Develops and implements operational schedules to ensure the effective use of labor, tools, plant and equipment across all functional areas.
  • Ensures that operational instructions and operations are meeting quality SOP’s and orders are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Audits, monitors, and determines the quality of processes or outputs, either against defined internal or regulatory standards and reports/responds to process deviations and defects.
  • Reviews data trending and monitors processes for negative trends in the processes
  • Works with clients to transfer new processes to the facility, develop timelines for process set up and qualification, receiving production orders, and data reporting to clients as part of ongoing production monitoring
  • Hires, leads, directs, evaluates, and develops team members to ensure the facility teams meet facility targets and standards. Develops hiring plans to ensure the facility is well staffed and fills knowledge or experience gaps
  • Works cross-functionally with other departments to ensure operational readiness is maintained and the facility is able to produce on schedule
  • Leads troubleshooting and investigations to ensure quality is maintained and resolutions are developed and met; follows up on actions taken as part of investigations to drive completion in a timely manner
  • Makes decisions with quality, safety, and client needs in mind to drive a compliant work environment which is dependable for client production
  • Leads the daily Tier 4 meeting and communicates needs and activities to staff in a way which drives collaboration and teamwork across departments
  • May include other duties as assigned
