What believers are saying

  • Identity-based controls for agentic AI are a near-term product wedge.
  • Resource-layer enforcement grows more important than prompt-level guardrails today.
  • MCP and A2A security creates partner-led ecosystem expansion opportunities now.

What critics are saying

  • Cisco and Microsoft compress Xage pricing power in IT/OT accounts soon.
  • NVIDIA may box Xage into optional middleware inside its own ecosystem.
  • Heterogeneous OT environments kill expansion revenue and create churn risk after pilots.

What makes Xage Security unique

  • Xage uses identity-based Zero Trust for agentic AI agents.
  • It enforces action-level controls at the resource layer in systems.
  • Xage integrates with NVIDIA DOCA for line-speed policy enforcement.

Securing Agentic AI with Xage resource-layer controls.

Securing Agentic AI with Xage resource-layer controls. June 17, 2026 Duncan Greatwood, CEO of Xage Security detailed the company's approach to securing agentic AI by shifting focus from bypassable, prompt-level guardrails to strict action-level controls at the resource layer. This protection is delivered via Xage's overlay fabric architecture, which provides end-to-end visibility and traceability across industrial and IT environments, mapping exactly where machine-to-machine actions originate before they hit critical systems. To mitigate the risk of prompt jailbreaks and rogue autonomous agents, Xage introduced an AI-focused resource gateway. Positioned directly in front of sensitive assets like financial and HR databases, this gateway enforces zero-trust boundaries by verifying whether an agent is explicitly authorized to execute a requested action. As boards grow increasingly concerned with AI cyber risk, organizations are exposing mission-critical data to long-lived, autonomous agents without adequate guardrails. To combat this, Duncan stressed the necessity of automated quarantine, isolation, and termination mechanisms for when an agent behaves unexpectedly. In more recent news, Xage announced its Zero Trust for Agentic AI solution, which provides visibility and control over AI agents. Backed by this recent integration with NVIDIA, Xage enables safe AI connectivity to high-value systems, though operational challenges remain regarding how to apply these resource-level policies consistently across messy, heterogeneous enterprise environments.

Xage Security wins 2026 Artificial Intelligence Excellence award.

Xage Security wins 2026 Artificial Intelligence Excellence award. Xage Security has been named a winner in the 2026 Artificial Intelligence Excellence Awards, receiving recognition in the cybersecurity category for Xage Security Zero Trust for AI. Presented by the Business Intelligence Group, the awards honor organizations using artificial intelligence to solve real-world problems and deliver measurable impact. This year's winners span 36 industries and more than 15 countries, reflecting how AI has moved beyond experimentation and into core enterprise infrastructure. Xage Security was recognized for its work applying Zero Trust principles to AI systems. As organizations deploy AI across cloud, edge, and operational environments, traditional security models struggle to keep up with the scale and autonomy of these systems. Zero Trust for AI focuses on verifying every interaction between users, devices, services, and AI workloads, ensuring that AI systems operate within clear identity and access controls. The 2026 awards also highlighted broader trends shaping the AI landscape. According to the Business Intelligence Group, agentic AI - systems that can take action and execute tasks with minimal human intervention - emerged as the most recognized category this year. At the same time, cybersecurity and fraud prevention categories received significant attention, underscoring the growing importance of trust and accountability in enterprise AI deployments. The Artificial Intelligence Excellence Awards, established in 2013, recognize organizations, products, teams, and individuals advancing AI across 46 application areas and 36 industries. Winners are selected by a panel of experienced business executives based on innovation, real-world impact, and measurable results. Upcoming webinar: Securing AI Agents and Copilots. As organizations deploy AI agents and copilots across business and operational systems, identity and access governance are becoming critical to maintaining trust and control. Xage Security will be joining the Business Intelligence Group for an upcoming webinar, "Securing AI Agents and Copilots: The New Identity Layer (and How to Govern It)" on April 7. The session will explore how organizations can manage identity, enforce policy, and secure autonomous AI systems as they move into production environments.
