  • Experienced CNC Milling machine operator / setter
  • Ideally some knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens or Heidenhain controls
  • Ability to Set and/or operate 3axis and 4axis Jobs and make minor edits / adjustments to the CNC program via the machine controls
  • Good understanding of fine engineering tolerances and quality inspections requirements
  • Due to the nature of our business, you will need to pass and maintain a BPSS security check.
Responsibilities
  • Set and run CNC machines
  • Occasionally programming on machines for modifications
  • Loading of CNC programs
  • Prepare cutting tools
  • De-burr components
  • Running and checking '1st' off and random batch inspection
  • Observe machine operation to verify accuracy of machine settings
  • Responsible for the production of Company products
  • Achieve production targets and deadlines
  • Work from engineering drawings
  • To clock in/out and fill in time cards correctly
  • Ensure that materials are available at the machine, in the correct quantities and to the correct specifications
  • Monitor product standards and implement quality control programmes - ISO9001, ISO14001 and Q1
  • Carry out preventative maintenance on machines (including lubrication, checking levels) and report any foul
  • Provide your own tools and ensure they are serviceable at all times
  • Continually build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Positively promote the best interests of Leidos Industrial Engineers at all times.
