Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Design, create, and scale digital-first commercial training experiences that improve field readiness, global execution consistency, and procedure growth.
  • Serve as a digital solutions training expert and strategic partner to Sales, Services, Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, Global Digital Sales and Implementation teams, regional training leaders, and other customer-facing teams.
  • Translate product, procedure, implementation, and customer engagement needs into digital curricula, train-the-trainer programs, facilitator toolkits, continued education, and enablement experiences.
  • Build and maintain an understanding of commercial priorities, product launches, procedure indications, digital portfolio strategy, regional growth opportunities, and sales execution needs.
  • Translate procedure growth goals and digital solution priorities into learning strategy, curriculum roadmaps, practice experiences, and enablement assets.
  • Partner with cross-functional and regional stakeholders to align digital training investment with business, learner, and field outcomes.
  • Serve as a consultant on strategic sales opportunities and key customer interactions requiring digital education, technical fluency, and customer engagement readiness.
  • Serve as a digital solutions technology expert covering integration with robotic platforms, digital applications, hospital enterprise infrastructure, and global implementation requirements.
  • Partner with sales, cybersecurity, services, product management, engineering, and customer-facing teams to identify training needs and define standard competencies.
  • Translate technical concepts, implementation considerations, market trends, industry regulations, and product details into practical digital learning experiences.
  • Stay current on digital infrastructure, software upgrades, product enhancements, application changes, and commercialization needs.
  • Lead the design and development of digital training assets, including e-learning modules, video-based learning, facilitator guides, architecture and workflow explainers, playbooks, job aids, scenario-based practice, knowledge checks, and self-directed learning.
  • Collaborate with instructional designers, content creators, subject matter experts, product teams, and regional teams to build curricula for commercial employee roles.
  • Maintain content version control, access strategy, and lifecycle management so employees can find and use appropriate resources.
  • Apply adult learning, instructional design, storytelling, digital production, and accessibility practices to improve engagement, adoption, retention, and global deployment consistency.
  • Create and deliver train-the-trainer programs for local and regional training teams.
  • Facilitate virtual, hybrid, and digital-first training sessions for global enablement teams, regional trainers, technical solution consultants, and other role-based audiences.
  • Model digital facilitation techniques including engagement design, scenario-based practice, role-based application, breakout activities, coaching moments, and action-oriented debriefs.
  • Equip regional enablement colleagues to deliver consistent learner experiences while allowing market-specific localization.
  • Coach facilitators and local managers on digital delivery effectiveness, technical message consistency, learner engagement, and field application.
  • Conduct needs analyses, stakeholder interviews, regional feedback loops, field observation, and customer engagement shadowing.
  • Segment learning needs by region, tenure, role, product line, procedure focus, digital portfolio maturity, and go-to-market priority.
  • Gather local market priorities and communicate insights to stakeholders to inform curriculum, content updates, product development priorities, and enablement strategy.
  • Influence product development and digital education priorities by representing global market needs, field feedback, learner friction points, and customer-facing readiness requirements.
  • Create and sustain a mentorship program and community of digital experts across global teams.
  • Support continued education programs for digital application evolutions based on required competencies.
  • Support local managers in coaching and developing their teams, including customer engagement shadowing and support when appropriate.
  • Define, measure, and track key performance indicators for digital content and facilitation effectiveness.
  • Use learning data, participant feedback, stakeholder input, and field signals to refine content, facilitation models, continued education plans, and global scaling strategies.
  • Connect learning measurement to procedure expansion, launch adoption, digital product implementation, and global field execution consistency.
  • Develop standardized global approaches for digital onboarding, certification support, facilitation readiness, content rollout, train-the-trainer execution, and continued education.
  • Create toolkits, playbooks, templates, facilitation guides, content standards, and process guides for regional implementation.
  • Partner with regional training leads to adapt programs locally while maintaining global structure, core messaging, technical accuracy, quality standards, and learning outcomes.
  • Diagnose gaps in digital training plans, content coverage, facilitator readiness, and rollout effectiveness, and execute targeted enablement strategies.
  • Maintain and improve processes for content intake, prioritization, review, deployment, measurement, and lifecycle management.
  • Build training program agendas, facilitation plans, content development timelines, launch readiness plans, and stakeholder review cycles.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures, process guides, training resources, and digital content governance materials.
  • Follow relevant standard operating procedures and training processes.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of sales-related, technical sales, sales engineering, product education, implementation, or commercial enablement experience.
  • Experience in education, training, instructional design, digital learning, or train-the-trainer roles.
  • Knowledge of servers, databases, storage, networking, Health Level Seven and Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine interfaces, cloud-hosted services, audio/video capture devices, virtual collaboration tools, operating rooms, and procedure rooms.
  • Experience building and presenting architecture diagrams, supporting technical questionnaires and requests for information/request for proposal processes, and translating clinical expectations into technical requirements.
  • An engineering background.
  • A master's degree, preferably in business or a healthcare-related field.
  • Multiple spoken languages.

Intuitive leases 316,000-sq-ft facility in Penang to manufacture surgical instruments, create 1,200 jobs by 2032

Intuitive, the global leader in minimally invasive care and pioneer of robotic-assisted surgery, has signed a lease agreement with Penang Development Corporation for a new manufacturing facility in Malaysia. The 316,000-square-foot site in Bandar Cassia Technology Park will produce surgical instruments and electromechanical devices for Intuitive's da Vinci surgical system. The facility is expected to begin operations in 2028 and create 1,200 highly skilled jobs by 2032. The investment reflects Intuitive's commitment to Asia Pacific, where its da Vinci systems have treated more than 2.5 million patients across 13 markets over two decades. The expansion aims to support growing demand for robotic-assisted surgery across the region and strengthen Penang's position as a MedTech manufacturing hub in Southeast Asia.
