Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field of discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years’ experience in direct material sourcing, purchasing, inventory management or material planning in a manufacturing and/or Engineering/R&D and/or New Product Introduction (NPI) environment.
  • Demonstrated skills in supplier operational and relationship management.
  • Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems and MS Excel, including ability to maintain and enhance reports to deliver clear-to-build status, material coverage, run-out reports and other analyses at product or sub-assembly level.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage end-to-end purchasing cycle, including generating requisitions, Purchase Order (PO) creation, PO follow-up, goods reception, and final payment.
Responsibilities
  • Focus on sourcing PCBAs, connectors, accessories and other electrical components, systems, and hardware
  • Manage quick turn R&D builds by sourcing key components and coordinating on time delivery to meet our timelines
  • Develop strategy for scaled/ production supply chain for the components and assemblies in your deck.
  • Execute purchase requisitions to place Purchase Orders as and when needed and manage purchase orders through invoicing and delivery.
  • Maintain accurate open Purchase Order lines with the inbound quantities and due dates from vendors, act as primary interface for resolution on blockers or delays.
  • Escalate issues to leadership, commercial or technical partners when required (sourcing team, accounts payable, quality, engineering, etc.)
  • Support onboarding and training of new suppliers to ensure operational excellence and compliance with Ample’s processes & policies.
  • Track costing across Ample’s major systems and subsystems to identify and implement cost reduction solutions.

Ample provides a solution for electric vehicle (EV) charging through modular battery swapping, allowing any EV to be fully charged in under five minutes. This method is much faster than traditional charging and is designed to be compatible with all EV models, meaning no redesign is needed by car manufacturers. Ample's charging stations are also more cost-effective to build and install, making energy prices 10-20% lower than gasoline. The stations are lightweight and can be quickly deployed in urban areas, allowing for rapid scaling to meet demand. Additionally, Ample focuses on sustainability by utilizing renewable energy sources like wind and solar, and their modular batteries are designed to improve over time, ensuring customers benefit from advancements in battery technology.
