  • Bachelor's Degree in GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of experience.
  • Master's Degree in GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of experience.
  • Familiarity with FAT, SAT/SIT, UAT planning and defect resolution.
  • Proven experience in enterprise system testing and working on GIS-related testing is implied but not listed as mandatory; include as required?
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, required.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, required.
  • Driver's License Required.
Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead the project team through the testing phases, ensuring the successful execution of all components of the testing plan. Support FAT, SAT/SIT and UAT planning and execution activities. Support defect resolution and prioritization. Oversees and manages overall testing efforts across test phases.
  • Performance Testing: Work with a team to set benchmarks to perform performance testing to stress-test GIS systems and identify areas for optimization. Provide recommendations for performance improvements based on testing results. Create a process for conducting daily manual testing to ensure the health and functionality of GIS applications. Craft and execute test cases to validate system reliability and performance.
  • Vendor Deliverables Testing: Lead testing efforts for vendor deliverables, including factory acceptance, system acceptance, and user acceptance testing. Ensure that vendor-provided solutions meet the specified requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality assurance measures to verify the effectiveness of testing solutions and defect resolution. Advocate for the customer throughout the testing process, ensuring that GIS solutions meet user expectations. Collaborate with development teams to address customer feedback and enhance system usability.
  • Azure DevOps (or other testing software): Utilize Azure DevOps or other testing software for effective test planning, execution, and reporting. Maintain testing documentation and artifacts in testing tools.
  • Metric Reporting: Develop and maintain reporting metrics to showcase the success or failure of testing efforts. Provide regular updates to project stakeholders on testing progress.
  • Crafting Actionable Test Cases: Craft clear and actionable test cases that effectively validate GIS system functionality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Document Review: Conduct thorough reviews of project documentation related to test plan and execution. Offer insightful comments to enhance the quality of test plan documentation and provide approval. Review test plan and scripts to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Decisive Sign-Off: Demonstrate decisiveness in signing off on testing-related requirements and planning documentations ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Integration and Data Deliverables Testing: Test GIS system integrations, data deliverables, and configurations to ensure seamless functionality. Validate the interoperability of GIS components and data consistency.

  • In-depth knowledge of integration technologies and best practices, preferred.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-wide solution preferences for integration, preferred.
