Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in purchasing electrical components and equipment.
  • Master’s degree on a Supply Chain discipline can be taken as experience.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with the IATF / ISO16949 norm.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including data manipulation and presentation.
  • Experience working with Plastic, Metal and/or electronic vendors and suppliers.
  • Basic knowledge of Plastic, Metal and/or electronic components and equipment, including their applications and technical specifications.
  • Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with inventory management software and systems, Syteline CSI a plus.
  • Familiarity with purchasing regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies for electromechanical components.
  • Identify and source new vendors for electrical and mechanical components.
  • Negotiate pricing and delivery terms with vendors.
  • Maintain positive relationships with vendors and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Ensure that all purchased items meet our quality and safety standards.
  • Work closely with our Engineering and Production teams to ensure that all purchased items are delivered on time, appropriate quantity and within budget.
  • Manage inventory levels and value to ensure that we have adequate stock of components.
  • Analyze market trends and pricing to identify opportunities to reduce costs.
  • Develop and maintain purchasing reports and other documentation.
