Requirements
  • 8+ years entertainment-focused experience, with proven success creating and managing publicity campaigns, is mandatory. Major IP experience is a plus.
  • Ability to develop senior executive level internal talent.
  • Exemplary presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to handle sensitive information and VIPs with discretion and tact.
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships with journalists to build long lasting opportunities is a must have.
  • Proficiency with G Suite, Keynote, and other common software is required.
Responsibilities
  • Identify and conduct proactive press pitches and outreach, cultivating strategic and diverse relationships with key journalists and outlets.
  • Collaborate daily with the Manager, Marketing to drive cross-functional efforts, supporting creation of project campaigns by providing input and finding publicity opportunities.
  • Develop key relationships with Lucasfilm, ILM, and Disney PR teams, enhancing strategy and fan touchpoints within the greater studios.
  • Run all briefing efforts for spokespeople for interviews, media days, and more. Coach all levels of spokesperson in varying disciplines and levels of highly technical expertise.
  • Oversee and execute media days and other IRL press efforts end to end for both project campaigns and studio needs, including staffing interviews, pushing releases, and pulling breaks.
  • Partner with internal senior production/development teams to ensure campaign messaging and PR contributions stay on track with the project creative and schedule.
  • Drive executive speaking opportunities by managing high-profile panel efforts by developing spokespeople: crafting messaging outlines, researching and vetting moderators, coaching panelists, and managing the day of needs.
  • Liaise directly with external talent for campaign opportunities with tact and professionalism.
  • Act as a key contributor to studio thought leadership strategy, highlighting publicity concerns, solutions, and opportunities.
  • Strategize and drive all owned channel editorial opportunities within Lucasfilm, Marvel and Disney, like StarWars.com, and more.
  • Create press releases, boilerplates, and other press materials to maximize press moments for multiple TWDC brands; manage press lists and cultivate key press relationships to further said cause.
  • Drive content creation and strategy for ILM Immersive social channels, and conduct outreach within TWDC for added, coordinated social support across company channels for amplification; collaborate with Associate Marketing Manager for posting on ILM Immersive channels.
  • Own internal comms for ILM Immersive, drafting company-wide emails from executives and studio-centric messaging as appropriate throughout the year.
  • Build out successful awards strategy and manage entire submissions processes, including crafting compelling case studies and materials.
  • Support all presentations and talks for studio talent, working through deck approvals, rehearsals, and other prep to ensure success.
  • Offer analysis on all press efforts for studio leadership and campaign coverage.
