Requirements
  • A minimum of a high-school diploma.
  • An associate’s degree and 3+ years of office administration or clerical experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is preferred.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, written, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Computer competency, including electronic spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and network administration.
  • Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and perform the stated physical activities, including sitting, standing, walking, typing, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, and visual work.
  • Ability to control behavior in stressful situations or under short deadlines and maintain a high level of concentration.
  • Ability to learn complex tasks and remember how to complete tasks independently after training.
Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Business Partner team and the Training Manager.
  • Maintain personnel files in compliance with company standards and applicable state and federal guidelines.
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Assist with maintaining recruitment and selection records.
  • Manage the internal new-hire process, including department notifications and new-hire orientation scheduling.
  • Initiate and conduct employee drug and background checks.
  • Enter new hires, pay rates, pay-status changes, and termination information for all employees into the human resources information system.
  • Complete E-Verify submissions for all new hires and maintain accurate, compliant Form I-9 records.
  • Conduct or assist with new-hire onboarding and orientation.
  • Perform periodic audits of human resources files and records to ensure required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Assist with creating and editing companywide communications through email and intranet posts.
  • Order new-hire welcome-bag supplies and coordinate with Marketing to ensure brand guidelines are met.
  • Assist with content creation and maintenance of Human Resources intranet pages.
  • Answer routine questions from applicants and employees about policies, benefits, hiring processes, and training initiatives, referring complex questions to senior Human Resources staff or leadership.
  • Provide support to the Human Resources department.
  • Assist with planning and executing special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, and training initiatives.
  • Perform other assigned duties and special projects.
