Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Maintain warehouse shipping, receiving, and delivery files.
  • Maintain and replenish essential office supplies.
  • Maintain the UPS system and prepare end-of-day reports.
  • Answer phones, forward calls, and take messages.
  • Research information as needed.
  • Maintain inventory by checking for discrepancies.
  • Enter location changes provided by warehouse attendants.
  • Coordinate sample requests and repacks.
  • Perform cycle counts on customer inventory.
  • Assist with customer yearly inventories.
  • Monitor Open Order and No Location screens to ensure orders are updated.
  • Maintain supply inventory reports for essential dunnage materials and packaging supplies.
  • Assist department managers and supervisors with special assignments.
  • Maintain and monitor the delivery appointment log in the company database.
  • Notify customers of late truck arrivals and obtain approval for overtime charges.
  • Maintain an accurate driver sign-in log and ensure drivers record arrival and departure times.
  • Match and check receiving documents brought by company drivers and delivering carriers.
  • Input material counts into the system and issue receiving documents and labels to the receiving attendant.
  • Notify the customer service representative and management about shortages or damaged material, and provide photos when necessary.
  • Check freight after labeling to ensure products are labeled correctly.
  • Track receiving activities on the open-order report and ensure they are completed and updated.
  • Arrange receiving appointments and pickup schedules with carriers and port terminal operations.
  • Monitor and maintain the Open Order Report in the warehouse database.
  • Review customer orders against shipping requests and ensure accuracy of work instructions for order execution.
  • Contact the customer service representative with questions about orders.
  • Prepare bills of lading, pick slips, packing slips, and address labels when required.
  • Match customer-provided documents to pick slips and bills of lading.
  • Issue pick slips, packing slips, and required labels to warehouse staff.
  • Check returned pick slips for discrepancies, attach them to bills of lading, and stage them in the carrier holding file.
  • Document extra services on pick slips and forward them to the customer service representative for billing.
  • Issue bills of lading to carriers for signature.
  • Scan signed bills of lading to customers or customer service representatives.
  • Provide customers with photos of freight loaded onto containers or trailers when necessary.
  • Arrange shipments of material.
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager and Operations Manager with special assignments.
  • Notify Warehouse Management of discrepancies.
  • Support the company's Operation Clean Sweep efforts by preventing pellet, flake, and powder loss and ensuring spills are cleaned promptly.
Desired Qualifications
  • Customer service and industry experience.
  • Some advanced education or progress toward a degree.
  • SAP or another enterprise resource planning system experience or certification.
  • Acellos HighJump experience or certification.
  • Ability to read and speak Spanish, Chinese, Hindi, or Japanese.
