Requirements
  • Communication skills: you will report to the VP of Product Engineering, and be expected to provide clear communications to leadership about your teams progress. You will need to be a strong cross-functional partner that can fulfill their deliverables.
  • Leadership and teamwork skills: experience mentoring and managing engineers as they grow their skillsets and enhance their impact on the team.
  • Knowledge leader in electromechanical product design for series production: PLM, change control and design release best practice, GD&T and tolerancing analysis, DFMEA, identification of critical-to-quality characteristics, design for manufacturability and assembly, process capability optimizations, control plans, and value engineering.
  • Direct experience in the development of high voltage (300 – 800 V) electromechanical systems, including creepage and clearance, CTI, cost-optimized packaging, harness design and routing, laser welding, thermal analysis, and PCBA mechanical packaging.
  • Familiarity with common manufacturing methods including stamping, bending, casting, injection molding, etc.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree, in engineering, preferably mechanical, electrical, or related field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in electromechanical product design with at least 3 years of that experience being in a leadership role.
