Requirements
  • The candidate must be able to perform basic math.
  • The candidate must be able to read, write, and comprehend basic instruction.
  • The candidate must be able to communicate verbally with associates and customers.
  • The candidate must be able to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, bending, lifting, kneeling, and climbing for prolonged periods of up to 7 hours per 8-hour shift.
  • The candidate must be able to lift a maximum of 25 pounds frequently.
Responsibilities
  • Transfer merchandise from containers to determine whether it is appropriate for the sales floor according to established guidelines.
  • Stay current on brand names, designer labels, and current and vintage styles.
  • Prepare items for the sales floor and evaluate them for quality, pricing, value, and salability.
  • Count processed items and record the count on the official log.
  • Sort apparel into boutique, salable, and salvage categories according to quota.
  • Place items on hangers, place hangers on rolling racks, and transport them to the sales floor while keeping similar items grouped.
  • Count clothing pieces and record them on the Daily Hanger Report.
  • Place nonsellable merchandise in the appropriate container.
  • Follow safety and security practices, including reporting safety hazards and injuries to the manager on duty.
  • Maintain a pace sufficient to meet required productivity quotas for processed pieces.
  • Maintain a clean, neat uniform and appearance.
  • Assist with collecting and stocking donated merchandise.
  • Provide service to Goodwill donors and retail customers.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least six months of previous work experience.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • Previous experience working with merchandise pricing.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Multilingual proficiency with English.
