Seesaw launches K–5 writing curriculum with Dr. Wiley Blevins featuring over 750 activities

Seesaw, an elementary learning platform, has launched a new K–5 writing curriculum developed with literacy expert Dr Wiley Blevins. The programme, called Seesaw Writing with Wiley Blevins & Friends, includes over 750 standards-aligned activities, mentor author videos and scaffolded supports covering sentence writing, grammar, genre writing and functional writing skills. The research-based curriculum integrates writing craft, text structure, syntax and transcription. It leverages Seesaw's multimodal tools, allowing students to express themselves through voice, video, drawing and text. The programme is designed to supplement existing curricula whilst providing structured writing instruction. Seesaw and Blevins will host a two-part webinar series beginning 23 April to support educators in implementing the new curriculum. The first session takes place on 23 April, with a second scheduled for 6 May.
