Requirements
  • Three or more years of experience practicing as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
  • Graduation from an approved Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
  • A current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license.
  • Basic Life Support or Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Effective communication with patients and clinical staff.
  • The ability to react calmly and effectively in a difficult or emergent situation.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • The ability to manually take patient vital signs.
  • The ability to maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and obtain medical histories focused on allergy and sinus conditions.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic allergic and sinus conditions, including allergic rhinitis, chronic sinusitis, nasal polyps, and asthma.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including allergy testing, sinus computed tomography scans, and pulmonary function tests.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans including medications, immunotherapy, and procedural recommendations.
  • Perform and assist with in-office procedures, including administration and supervision of subcutaneous and sublingual immunotherapy and nasal endoscopy.
  • Educate patients on disease management, treatment options, and medication use.
  • Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure continuity and quality of care.
  • Document all patient encounters accurately in the electronic health record within 24 hours of the visit.
  • Oversee and manage food and environmental allergy testing using percutaneous allergy skin testing and intracutaneous allergy testing.
  • Provide preoperative and postoperative evaluation and treatment after surgeon-performed sinus procedures.
  • Develop relationships with referring medical providers and the local medical community.
  • Attend lunches and events with the assigned territory provider relationship representative to build credibility and market Aspire.
  • Meet the stated minimum testing, treatment, and IOP conversion metrics.
