Requirements
  • 4+ years of accounting experience, including general ledger accounting and accounts payable.
  • Proficiency in accrual accounting and GAAP principles.
  • Strong understanding of AP processes, vendor management, and reconciliations.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work cross-functionally.
Responsibilities
  • Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring appropriate approvals and three-way matching.
  • Manage employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and timely reimbursements.
  • Maintain vendor records, including tax documents (W-8, W-9), banking details, and payment terms.
  • Reconcile and manage the accounts payable aging report and vendor accrual, resolving outstanding balances.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
  • Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Support financial statement preparation and variance analysis.
  • Prepare and file sales tax returns, 1099s, and other regulatory filings to ensure compliance.
  • Issue tax exemption certificates as required.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to optimize workflows.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance financial processes.
  • Participate in system upgrades and implementations as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with accounting software such as Bill.com, QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Brex, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Prior experience in autonomous trucking, logistics, or technology sectors is a plus.

Autonomous trucking startup Kodiak Robotics plans to go public via SPAC, valuing the company at approximately $2.5 billion pre-money. Kodiak has raised around $243 million and secured over $110 million in financing from investors like Soros Fund Management and ARK Investments, alongside $551 million in trust. The deal is expected to close in the second half of 2025.
